A Day At The Park

It's that time of year again, cheer tryouts. KJ has cheered for the last two years - boy can that take a bit of the budget, and she is going to try for year three.

One of the fund raisers the squards and their parents can do is work in the consession stand at the local ball park. Right now the Huskers are playing, this summer it will be the Saltdogs.

KJ and I worked Wednesday afternoon, 54 degrees is a little cool for a ball game if you ask me - but nobody did. We had a great time, it gave us mother/daughter time and a chance to watch/listen to part of the game.

I am not a cap person with my hair up and a cap on I look like a chipmunk with my cheeks full, at least one of us looked cute.

I am thankful for:

  • an employer who let me off for the afternoon.
  • the opportunity to raise money towards various cheer expenses.
  • the opportunity to spend time with my daughter.
  • and I was so thankful when I came home and found out praise team practice was rescheduled for Saturday. Why does spending a day out in the fresh air make us to tired? We won't talk about the fact that my feet were not on speaking terms with me for the rest of the night.

What are you thankful for?

Thank you so much for visiting my blog! Your blog is very inspirational! To answer your general question I am thankful for the opportunities that God has given me!! :)

And to answer your question you left on my blog... I make Bible covers out of fabric that have a zipper on them to hold pens etc. and then have handles. :) They make bringing your Bible to church much easier! )

Being outdoors zaps all my energy, too. :)
I am thankful for so many things, but right now the most materialistic thing I am thankful for the wonderfully soft sheets that I am laying on and the promise of a good night's sleep. :)

Hi Sheryl,
Oh, I love baseball! Fun times! I have a lot to be thankful for, but right now, I feel very thankful for my health and for the health of my family. Just seems like there's an awful lot of sickness and heartbreak going on in Blogland.

Yes, our ski trip should be interesting...I just hope and pray I come back in one piece!

My daughter started her first year of cheering this yr. It has been a lot of fun!

Ball caps aren't my best look so I could relate!

I'm thankful for my friends today...such a big part of making my life "full."

Great post!

Did you notice that something has been missing from your blog? It might have appeared around the time I stopped commenting? I’m sorry about all that. I took a little hiatus from the blogosphere, but I couldn’t stay away too long. After a break, I had to come by again and see what you’ve been up to.

Glad that I did. I guess you could say that is what I am thankful for. :)

PS: Thanks for the birthday love!

My daughter cheered through school and it was a lot of fun and a huge financial expense, but it was worth it.
I am thankful that my family and I are all healthy.
