Adventures in babysitting

Katie was scheduled to babysit for our niece last night, when her driving time got extended, mom and dad came to the rescue. After dinner and play time at our house we took the kids to their house. I almost forgot how much energy little ones have at this age.

This is Paige, when she was younger she would never talk to me. Now she is making up for lost time-she never stops.

This is Braydon, her older bother. He too does not have a problem keeping up is side of the conversation.

They got the Kawasaki 4-wheeler out and were off to new adventures. I was really impressed when it was time to go in. With out saying a word to them they put the 4-wheeler back in the cabinet, plug it in, closed the door and put the rest of the toys away.

Paige decided she wanted to take some pictures. Here is her first attempt, yup that's me behind those foster grants or should that be finger.....

But she soon started to adjust. At least the finger is gone. Nice feet Braydon bet your mom is glad they were clean.

Now she's getting the hang of it. Actually she was starting to do too well, she got a picture of me with out me knowing it. I really need to pay more attention to what I look like when I leave the house-not a flattering picture (It was decided by the editor and chief of this blog not to post my picture. Don't want to be the cause of anyone needing therapy.)

This is Charlie, he is a Golden Doodle, aka small horse. Charlie is a very lovable dog. (Please forgive the blurred picture. I'd like to say Paige took this one but she didn't. Charlie was a dog on the run.)

All he wanted was some piece and quite so he could chew on his bone and no it wasn't the kids bothering him. . .

. . . it was Lucy, she's a miniature Golden Doodle with one speed - hyperdrive. She was like trying to shoot an animal in the wild. I had the wrong camera, my point and shoot just couldn't capture her.

It was a great night, I really enjoyed playing with the kids.

Yeah... kids sure do have a lot of unexpected energy sometimes, don't they? I love the fingers in the picture -- and so generous of you to share your camera!
