Quick Note - Prayer Request

It started out to be a very busy weekend.  Our high school had a marching band contest in Manhattan, KS Saturday.  It was a very long, cold day; but the band did great.

Our weekend plans came to a sudden halt when Little K woke up with a fever on Sunday morning and remained in bed for the rest of day.

Since you have to be fever free for 24 hours before you can go back to school needless to say she missed school yesterday.  At 7:00 pm last night I took her temperature and it had bounced back up again.   At that point we decided to take her to LincCare (an urgent health clinic) where she tested positive for the H1N1 flu.

We're doing a the flu things, plenty of rest, liquids, and meds; my prayer request this that God blesses her with quick healing and that B and I don't get it.  The doctor was not optimistic about B and I not getting it but God is bigger then this flu.  We are both coming down with a cold, I pray it stops there.

Thank you so much.

I had that. Not fun. Praying that it doesn't spread...

My son is still off of school for the rest of this week, not from H1N1, but a viral illness. It's hard when our children get sick. Praying that your child will be healed in no time and the Lord will shield her from any discomfort. Praying that you won't get sick, too. God bless you.

Oh Sheryl,
I'm so sorry. I pray that you and your husband remain flu free and for healing for your daughter.

Sheryl,

It seems like everyone I know is coming down with flu like symptoms. I am lifting you all up in prayer and asking God for healing for your little one and for you two to remain as healthy as you can be.

All things are possible to him that believes and we believe Lord!

I am so sorry to hear the news. Just keep her isolated from the rest of the family and use lots of Lysol spray. Hope she feels better real soon!

I'm sorry that Little K isn't feeling well. I have heard that elderberry syrup is a recommendation for H1N1.

Prayers are going out for your little K and for all of you to stay completely healthy and flu free.

Poor little thing. Hope tomorrow finds you and your little one feeling better.

Our local schools are closed until Monday due to H1N1. When will this end?
